Here I have a selection of images of how media can shape our views and opinions on groups in our society. The representation is shown to be negative due to stereotyping to attract an audience. The examples shown are stereotyping how men and women 'should look', as well as how teenagers are portrayed and using women as a 'sex' object to grab attention.
The film poster for mean girls clearly presents itself to a certain target audience outlined in my annotations around it.
I have written an analysis of why the director/producer has made certain decisions in the creation of the ComicCon "Wonder Women" trailer. I have focused on looking closely at the use of colour and speech to create an overall effect.
In this task I spoke about the media industries focusing on the 'Big Six' and who they are and what they do. Expanding on the 'Big Six' helps understand the platform of how the media works and what a big impact they have.
